Terms of Service

a. About MICAFI

MICAFI is a platform that assists customers in purchasing goods from international marketplaces and auction platforms on request. MICAFI acts as an intermediary in these transactions. It does not sell goods directly and does not own the goods it purchases on your behalf. All purchases arranged by MICAFI are carried out within the applicable international legal framework and in accordance with the rules in force on electronic commerce and consumer protection.

b. Who the customer is

A customer is any individual or organisation wishing to order goods from international marketplaces, or to take part in international auctions, through MICAFI's services. Customers may be individual consumers or businesses, provided they can supply the personal and financial information required for payment and shipping to be completed.

c. Ownership of the goods

MICAFI is not the owner of the goods and does not engage in direct selling. MICAFI acts solely as an intermediary purchasing on your instructions, giving you access to products on international platforms that you cannot conveniently buy yourself.

a. Your responsibilities

As a customer you are responsible for:

• providing complete and accurate details of the product you want, including the product link, description, images where available, price and any special requirements;
• checking the product information carefully before asking us to buy, including quality, price, warranty conditions and any terms published by the seller;
• providing complete and accurate personal details, including full name, address, telephone number and email address, so that MICAFI can complete the purchase and arrange shipping;
• paying the deposit or the full value of the order in advance, including shipping charges, taxes, import duties and any other fees relating to the service requested;
• complying with the laws in force in your country of residence as well as applicable international law when using MICAFI's services.

b. Prohibited goods

MICAFI does not support transactions involving goods that breach the law of the United States, the destination country, or any other country or territory involved in the sale, transport or import of the goods.

MICAFI accepts no liability for any risk, loss or failed transaction arising from information you supply that is inaccurate, incomplete or misleading and which affects the purchase, payment or shipping process.

a. Select the product and submit a request

You choose the product you want, check the relevant details carefully (description, images, price, conditions of sale) and then send the product information and your purchase request to MICAFI.

b. Advance payment

You pay a deposit equal to 70% of the total order value, or the full order value where MICAFI requires it.

c. Purchase on your behalf

MICAFI buys the product from the international platform in accordance with your instructions and handles the related payment and shipping formalities.

d. Delivery and completion

Once the product has been purchased successfully and has arrived at a MICAFI warehouse, you will be notified so that delivery can be arranged by the method agreed.

e. Auctions

Bidding on your behalf follows the rules set out in MICAFI's Auction Policy.

4.1. What the total cost includes

• the value of the goods purchased on your behalf;
• international and domestic shipping charges to the address you provide. The initial shipping charge is based on the estimated weight and volume of the product and may change once the goods have been weighed and measured;
• import taxes and duties where applicable, charged according to the rules of each country and subject to change for legal or regulatory reasons;
• MICAFI's service fee, covering order handling, order management and related support services.

4.2. Notice of costs

MICAFI issues an initial quotation based on estimated weight and sets out each cost in detail before making the purchase. Once the goods have been shipped and re-measured, MICAFI will notify you of any additional costs, including shipping charges, import duties and other related fees.

5.1. Your rights and obligations

• to ask MICAFI for full product information, including description, images, price and related conditions;
• to pay all applicable costs in full and on time;
• to check the product information yourself before purchase — MICAFI is not liable where you have overlooked material information;
• to accept responsibility for the goods you ask us to buy on your behalf.

5.2. MICAFI's obligations

• to carry out the purchase honestly, within the scope of the authority you have given, and to keep your information confidential;
• to notify you and refund amounts paid in advance where the product is unavailable or cannot be delivered;
• to complete payment, shipping and customs declaration formalities as requested;
• MICAFI is not liable for problems arising from shipping, customs, or other events outside its reasonable control.

For goods that have already been used:

• you must pay 100% of the order value in advance;
• you accept the condition of the product and will not raise a quality complaint on delivery;
• MICAFI will help you contact the seller if a problem arises, but any cost of returning the goods is yours to bear.

• You may ask to cancel a transaction before MICAFI has made the purchase. In that case MICAFI will refund the amount paid, less the service fee where one applies.
• If you ask to cancel after the product has been purchased, the service fee is not refundable.
• Where the product is unavailable, is cancelled, or cannot be delivered, MICAFI will refund 100% of the amount you have paid.
• Where goods arrive broken or are not the product you requested, returns and refunds are handled under MICAFI's Return and Refund Policy.

• MICAFI may amend or update these Terms. Changes do not affect transactions already completed. Where a change materially affects your rights, MICAFI will give reasonable notice through the service or by email before it takes effect.
• These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith negotiation will be submitted to the competent courts of the State of California, United States.
• MICAFI is not the seller of the goods and does not provide warranty services or user instructions for goods bought abroad.
• MICAFI undertakes to help you resolve problems arising during purchase and shipping, so far as it is able, with a view to protecting your legitimate interests.

These Terms exist to keep the assisted purchasing and international auction service transparent, clear and consistent. Following them helps purchase, payment and shipping run smoothly, limits risk and protects the legitimate interests of everyone involved.
